The Process of Kitchen Cabinet Refacing

Would you like a fabulous new look for your kitchen cabinets for less than complete hardwood cabinet replacement?

Here’s how it works:

Step 1: Call Cabinet Coverup for your free in-home consultation. We will bring a large selection of high quality wood door samples in a variety of finishes to your home. During our initial visit, we will listen to your ideas and offer suggestions on how to meet your kitchen remodeling needs. We will show pictures of prior work to help you visualize your space. We can discuss accessory options, countertops, backsplashes and more!

Step 2: Once we have finalized your selections, we will take detailed measurements of your cabinets and begin the coordination of the install process.

Step 3: While your cabinets are being made, we will coordinate the installation of your countertop and/or flooring.

Step 4: When the cabinets arrived, we will contact you to set up a delivery and install date.

Step 5: Refacing begins with ensuring all countertops, flooring and surrounding work area are covered.

Step 6: Existing doors, drawer fronts, crown molding, etc. is removed and hauled away along with any other debris.

Step 7: Cabinet configuration (adding/removing cabinets), installation of new drawer boxes and pull-outs

Step 8: Reface cabinet end panels and cover face frames with ¼” solid hardwood in same finish as new door

Step 9: Install new doors and drawer fronts; crown molding and decorative trims

Step 10: Install handles and pulls

Step 11: Clean-up and haul away all trash

Most kitchens completed in three-five days!  We leave the kitchen usable on most days for limited evening use.
